在未來世界，一位名為遙大地的少年，在抽獎中贏得前往月球旅行的機票。遊覽月球時，偶遇「長耳族人」的魔法師婆婆及其孫女，幫忙組合魔動器期間被幻母婆婆發現是傳說中挑選駕駛「Granzort」的「大地與炎之魔動戰士」而開始旅程。
命運般的旅途上，先後尋找了另外兩位魔動戰士，駕駛「Windzort」的「風之魔動戰士」加斯，駕駛「Aquabeat」的「水之魔動戰士」拉比。一同為了打倒「邪動族」拯救月底世界「勒倫魔地」（台譯拉比露娜）而戰的整個冒險故事。
