so... they are using more complex numbers to work out a proof for a simple equation...
this is kinda philosophical in a sense because when they use equations we can be asking the chicken and eg ...

However, we use "+" and "=" intuitively and never think what they really are

well i believe age to functionality is determined on a diminishing marginal utility line
as the age increases, the marginal functionality of the meat decreases
