He gave up table tennis as his highschool partner left.
He had no more partner and concentrated on badminton

From what you read, Alan is dedicted into football(soccer) that much
and even with 18 months rest

Oh well, my guess is a educated guess with relatively accurate assumption

Unless, Alan is a sports genius that he can chase piggie from his back and overrun him

I played chess/board games all the time in secondary school XD
Then switch to computer games

You should meet Piggie
He is, should be, probably, the man with best physical ability/endurance here
