It's only because of evolution I guess =.=

Animals only mate during a particular season/time. Since mating causes too much energy and pregnancy makes them vulnerable for predators. ( I just learn that in Discovery, when they talk about lion's mating...LOL )

It's kind of funny that that seasons thing is not for us.
I am not sure about ape/monkeys though
