For me everything is designed and engineered by the Almighty Hand, we cant really comprehend everthing with our limited wisdow. so my theory is ....who cares, just touch them and feel it, who cares why they are born so big or small. live your life with passion.

and seriously, after you fall in love for real, you will realize something is really driven by feeling, cant be explained. You might argue feelings are consequences of hormones and electromagnetic signals passing thru nerve systems and triggering your  brain to "feel" something. etc etc etc.
