If you ask for favor, someone may ask favor back. Not many people are like Leo which treats friends so well.

It's also built in human nature.
It won't never let a "white eater" in their group as it will minimize the whole group efficiency/survival probability. Human will review people's "value" in their group

So, even 識人好過識字, you still have to contribute to the group such that they won't abandon you. If so, you are valuable in some ways even not with 識字

There are some hidden parameters/assumption that one may ignore

Just in general, from his posts , given that what he wrote is what he really is
Then he cherishes friends a lot

BTW, I was in APM and met two friends accidentially
one is my 小師妹
She, together with his bf, probably earn > 65k per month LOL

Both > 65k
One is secondary teacher, >30k
One is medical doctor, >35k LOL

so, she has worked for 5 years + panel of phyiscs
maybe 35k too

Primary one is a bit lower, but still high relative to a lot of jobs in HK
