I understand your main concern is the shock absorption, I suggest you wear a pair of basketball shoes to play  TT rather than a pair of running shoes coz it provide a more protection to your ankle ...

Will it have more negative effect on left-right movement?

And TT shoes don't provide much ankle protection too
Running shoes is more likely to TT shoes...
TT shoes has better grip , better feeling between feet and ground, and both are light.

a proper BBall shoes is a MUST rather than a proper soccer shoes.......cos u jump alot.......n so easy to twist ur ankle.......

no offence, but any plan to cut down your weight? The left-right movement 100% better than those running shoes
