He told me, girls and guys could never be very good friends whenever they are still single. It's like a quadratic equation with negative leading coefficients.
Either a girl and a guy are normal friends or gf/bf. The best friend status is a unstable equilibrium point that very hard to reach. Even so, it's very unstable that either turning into friends or gf/bf

I disagreed this theory badly but now I looked back, it's so. Unless unless, either one of them is ugly or both XDDDD
