Just share my thoughts. Is it more important that both persons fall in love before they make love? If not, it is only a "fxxking" exercise. At least, the persons believe that they have love, they trust each other etc. Of course, there is no 100% guarantee that love will last forever. I think that as long as they really love each other at that moment, the sex is called "making love".
If the relationship turns out to be unworkable, we cannot then conclude that, as Amy put, it is better to have sex rather than fake love. There is no fake love. If you consider that is a fake love, it is just not love at the begining.
