yes i know hiking and orienterring is different
i was just saying the skills learnt from the latter is useful to the former that's all!

I was with a female friend ( and a big group as well )

She was not in good shape for the hiking route and I felt sorry about dragging along with me.
So I had to hike next to her or she might be exhausted to death.

We didn't make it to the sightviewing point in the plateau and then were forced to hike back ( upstairs ) to catch the sunset.
After that, a cold night is waiting for us ....pretty hard to sleep well.

Overall, grand canyon is a must-see even though it's harsh for hiking/camping
