I couldn’t believe my ears, so I said “If you allow, it should be my treat”
I pick her up at 7:00 from her office which is just a few blocks away
from my work place.
Me: Where you want to eat?
CS: What about Genki Sushi at the Great Eagle Centre?
Fits my style any way, hit the road and get it all set in such
Japanese restaurant within half an hour. We settled with the order
fast but before foods were served, this lady is already taking her
proactive moves by switching from the other side of table to sitting
next to me...., my sixth sense automatically kicked in, by instinct, I
started to scan around and shock to find my colleague - UD, he was
looking at me….. and her, just two tables away! What a co-incidient!
I have to cut the dinner short to avoid her more and more aggressive
gestures being spot by UD at next table.
Out of the restaurant, I asked “Where you live? I can offer you a ride”
CS: "No ride la, let’s walk, it is just on the other side of the road,
I’m living in that apartment next to Sun Hung Kai Center"
Me: "So Close by?"
CS: "Yes, Block 3 of Causeway Centre!"
"Can you walk me home?" she asked.
It will be too much against my will if I say no……
Then, I found the flat is a small one, she is on her own.
"Beep …….any body still on air? here is United Echo" another
colleague sounding out from my walkie talkie. I responded back “ United
Alpha still here”
UE: "so quiet tonight, just you and me haven't stand down?"
Me: "Yeh, just two of us………" not before I can finish my words, she
grab my walkie talkie and spoke into the radio.
"no! not 2, it’s 3 persons on air, I’m here”
I was stun because it is quite serious to have unauthorized access to
my radio; luckly, it is just the direct frequency instead of the
repeater channel which is heavily monitored and recorded, and, she
didn't press the Push-To-Talk button...thanks god!
I have to recover my radio quick before things could went wrong.....
however, it is always the Murphy Law, it felt into her trench (the lower one)!!!
I tried to pick it up from there…….but she said “don’t touch
.......otherwise I will be out of control…….” 英語實在太不傳神了, 當時實在是 :
"吾好掂我....一掂我就會忍吾住，我會失控架！"
I did touched, and the next time I watched the clock, it was already
the next day.
