how's ur interviewsss?
Got an half-TA offer from the afternoon interview
Now I am waiting for my 2nd interview (morning one), Wed
then I will make my decision
Finally a job...probably have to bug the BU for my dip ed application
FT Job + PT diploma, wow, Cherry has a new but busy life next academic year
I can't imagine how I can get the offer
The principal was attacking me ALL they way by saying
Your academic background is so much, why don't you go to other field like research
I answered I did try that but I don't think it's suitable to me, making knowledge <> passing knowledge to the new generation
Then he asked me again, hum, your teaching experience is in universities and the top one
Probably the students I dealt with are much different than the one inside the school
I said, teaching the students who are poorer can give me even more satisfaction. You teach a A-grade students to get a A
and teach a D grade student to get a B. That's totally different.
Then principal attacks me again that, from your resume, what you have dealt with , even in secondary school , are the top students. You are good in academic as well. You should have no experience in dealing with poor students ( academically ), right?
I said yes and then he said, you know, being a smart person like you have different "wavelength/channel" with those students. Able to learn is not equal to be able to teach.
Then I said my brother CE result is 0. I really understand what he feels like and why they don't understand. Too bad I was not mature enough to help my brother and I did understand will rescue any of them in the future. The problem is passion, care and time which I do have it to help those students
He then kept digging the story between me and my brother and still insist his point that - You are over-qualified as you probably can't teach poor students which is what they are concerned.
Fine...then some time later, it finished
I walked away and thought, OMG, I am over-qualified....hopeless again
Principal then called me back for the offer on my way home....
I was speechless
Now I am waiting for the results of my 2nd in today
Since the current offer is half-teacher ( workload and paid )
I am waiting for the 2nd interview result ( offer of course, hopefully) which is full feacher and paid
More importantly, I don't quite like that principal =.=
I don't feel his LOVE
