Oh, not sure about the wrong hedge movement but it's the similar to SouthWest ( US airline )
They hedged the oil price and earned a lot of money when it is 100+ barrel

Like say watching a film in front of TV
The first one pick the good spot, sofa with popcorn
Second one pick the 板凳 next to sofa and sit
The last one, has no sofa or chair
has to sit on the ground to watch the TV

Give you some concepts that I know

Do you know why calculus work?
Do you know the first principle?
Do you know how the first principle is valid?

Analysing the last question is real analysis, one of the area I had studied
First, we studied infremum and supremum ( lower bound and upper bound in daily life words )
then we study series
with these two
we can know the limit of a series ( converge? diverge? or converge with flipping +/- sign that we have no answer )

With series limit, we can extend that to function, like f(x) = 2x^2
Applying the concept, we can conclude the first principal of differerntiation
same to integration
