【劇情簡介】：
懲教處高級懲教主任文上升（吳啟華飾）隸屬赤柱監獄，負責監督囚犯的紀律，天天與囚犯交鋒，步步為營，壓力沉重，但下屬喬正橋（王浩信飾）卻經常違反守則，與囚犯交往頻繁，甚至發生戀情，與上升頻生摩擦。任職於羅湖懲教所的姚愛嘉（徐子珊飾）與上升相識多年，年齡相差十多歲卻大膽向他示愛，上升斷言拒絕，身兼好友及同事隸屬更生事務組的翁偉晉（黃德斌飾），看穿上升只因婚姻失敗，以照顧妹妹文上游（黃心穎飾）為藉口，刻意逃避感情問題，但偉晉自身亦受家庭問題煩惱不已，幸得上升前妻葉雅蕾（梁琤飾）和同事遲春光（朱千雪飾）兩位紅顏知己；囚房內外千迴百折的考驗，經常發生外人難以理解的複雜故事，一場即將爆發的大騷動，更令上升等人性命瀕危，他們最終能否排除萬難，完成使命？
