M = lining of womb shredding + lack of female hormones: therefore firstly the sperm cannot fertilise the egg under these conditions and secondly, even if it did (somehow by miracle), the fertilised egg has nowhere to develop ('cos it usually embeds in the womb lining) - therefore it is completely safe!
