Karas takes place in Tokyo, a city populated by both humans and ghostly beings. They exist in two dimensions; seen and unseen - spirits, apparitions and demons. Karas is the city's guardian, and Tokyo is thrown into disarray as a former Karas named Eko attempts to seize power and bring order to the streets through force. An entity named Yurine, who represents the will of the people, stands in Eko's way with her newly risen Karas. Now two Karas emerge to destroy either all of the demons or destroy all humanity. Which Karas will prevail?

纪念Tatsuno 40周年OVA『鸦～KARAS』打头阵
龙之子Production株式会社为庆贺公司40周年成立，同时也是为了推进日本动画，将推出OVA「鴉 -KARAS-」，这一举动可谓是一箭双雕的双赢活动。同时国民美少女渋谷飛鳥、鈴木かすみ和著名的演员和田聡宏都将初次在这部作品中初次一展声优技艺。
这部作品风格类似于大和古装片，背景却发生在未来的日本。在不夜城新宿，人类和妖怪和平共处。但是，曾几何时连环杀人案连续发生，而罪犯是叫廻向的神秘男人。为何曾经是街之守护使『鸦』的他会向人类复仇呢?
为了阻止杀人案继续发生，新的『鸦』诞生了，青年音羽被选作新的守护使，新仇旧恨在新宿街头开始蔓延……
该作不仅画面和风格多样丰富，而且结合了3D动画，将场景刻画得更为逼真精致。『鸦～KARAS』将于3月25日播放第一集。
