The London 2012 Olympic Games will kick start tonight. The two free-to-air TV stations, Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) and Asia Television Limited (ATV) will jointly produce Olympics programming of 200 hours, which will be evenly distributed to TVB Pearl and ATV World for broadcasting.
The long awaited “London 2012 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony” will be held on Friday at 4 a.m. TVB Pearl and ATV World will cover the whole event by Direct Broadcast Satellite from 3:45 a.m. to 7 a.m.
Becoming the first city who officially hosts the modern Olympic Games for three times, London has titled this year's opening ceremony as "The Isles of Wonder". The games will be nobly opened by Queen Elizabeth II, in addition to exciting shows with over 10,000 volunteer performers. TVB and ATV experienced hosts are delighted to present this wonderful night to all Hong Kong audience.
