if i were you i would (only) ask why doesnt she want you fired. she knows what you know so asking is quite stupid. i dont think its a good idea to ask those "curiosity" questions unless you 2 are relationship-stable.
i think she's given you enough hints. go for her!

Bro....I also think you should let Helen knows your feeling towards her.  At this point, it is a closure of the chapter in her life and it is a new chapter in your life as well.  Like other CHings said, Helen sure has feeling towards you as well.  You just need to take this chance and tell Helen that you love her when you two meet.  This gives both of you a chance!  Of course whether it works out or not is another matter but at least you try.  DON'T look back and REGRET!  I personally don't think you should ask those 2 questions as it is no longer important.  Of course if you think otherwise then don't worry about it.  Anyway....have a great time with Helen in the U.K. and we are looking forward to your update.  Really love your story!
