I understand Mr Yun's key points .....
If the girl totally had no interest in making frds with him ... then why she still took the offer? Better just simply rejected him in a friendly manner!
If she took his offer and had a drink with him  without much communications or interaction ... or even just took the drinks and left  .... this behaviour is  considered as "cheating for drinks"!

i agree with you that a gal shouldn't take up an offer if she's not interested
but some gals r very realistic...she thinks she's given you "a glass of drink" time to get to know her
and if you fail to impress her during that glass of drink...she leaves...as simple as that
some of them are so up themself that they forget all their basic manners

I think it really depends on the situation at that moment ... what guys usually do is to appraoch the girl in a nice and friendly manner ... open a dialogue and have a few chat before offering her a drinks!

If this is the flow ... then the girl will seldom just take the drinks and leave!

However, if the guy just randomly pick a girl at the bar and offer her a drink without any conversation (at least self-introduction and a few friendly conversation) prior to that ....
and if the girl still took the offer then left as what Mr Yun had experenced ...i think this is really "cheating for drinks"! .... but somehow we may think that the guy is playing a wrong strategy ... just wasting money or even a bit stupid!

hahaha yes yes...the first approach will be the appropriate one...

a guy once offered me HIS drink on the dancefloor, which i kindly rejected...but he then tried to force it down my throat...i practically ran away and avoided him for the rest of the night.
