If I ask my friend to go for dinner, I will give him / her a treat!
I treated my friends (2 adults and 2 children) to go to Hopewell Centre, Restaurant name is R66, and costed me $2,000, during Christmas time.

If I don't have too much money on hand, I will choose a lower cost Restaurant.

If someone ask me out for a meal and ask me to pay for my share at the end, of course I will pay, but I won't like this guy.  If he does not have much money, he should let me know and we can go to eat less expensive food, or even we can buy vegetables or meat to cook at home.

Of course it is OK.  I like McDonald's food, the crispy Chicken Wings are my favourite!
But of course not every meal.  Too 'hot air'.

So, in your philosophy that

The cost of a meal, actually just a small amount, I really don't think about that.
If there is a large group gathering, of course we share the bill.
But if only 2 persons, seldom need to share the bills (except the stories that I mentioned).
