I read a blog about 3 young kids ( secondary school graduates )
Spent 40 days in Japan by sleeping in the train station most of the time

but i would want to go somewhere other than tokyo tho... and ride the train through to different places
Japanese train is expensive too :')
Kyoto is a must if you are into history / culture things
Rather than that, Northeast is good for scene

People mostly go to 東北(include 北海道), 京都 area ( 關西) and 東京 area (關東)
Rather than that, people don't usually go other places

It's about 3000-4000 yen per head in motel ( can be cheaper in rural area, depends on where one travel)
traffic would be like 1000-2000 yen per day
food, if very cheap one, it can be 2000 yen for 3 meals as well

so, about 8000-10000 yen per day
You work out the exchange rate
