i don't know whether my sis' one is issued by HSBC, but she certainly brought along one that card with her when she travelled to australia

I did have debit card the day after I arrived US
I am still using that for my tax refund and pay my Dip. Ed. application fee
That's the only Credit/Debit card I have

But your sister comes to Australia from UK or HK?
My mom has business with bank that she knows bank stuff well
Last time, I told her my credit card application got rejected
She didn't throw out the idea of debit card
and I haven't heard any of that in HK

So, I guess it's not available in HK and you know, Credit card is so easy to apply in HK that debit card is not that necessary?
