林夕 is an art lover i guess. It's a history book with some novel style showing the futility of the emperor and people around.

i thought only US love novels for teenagers are like that. So you read a lot of them?

Seldom read English novel, can't really enjoy as I can't read fast in English, but really fast in Chinese XD
The only english novel I have ever read is Harry Potter

I did read a lot of Taiwanese love novels, probably 33% of all by 瓊瑤姨姨 XDD
Some from 岑海倫, 左晴雯 and the stop reading those novels

Should be a good book then
well the author is a famous historian esp in Ming Dynasty. Depends on what perspective and expectation on the book. Take it as a book on a story with some history background.

I read everything, almost everything rather than something I am sure I won't understand XD
