where did u know the basics of photography? :smile_41:
I learn by reading magazines ( very important if you want to be updated, like reading journal for researchers ) and some theory book.
Photography = optics + electronics + art
In order to learn it, you have to know the camera well and those baisc like shutter/aperature/field depth/exposure/iso etc
I assume you have no problem on those basic
For art one, that's hard as I am not artistic enough but creative though
1. Learn some basic like tension line, the well known # proportion, contrast, light source, color, etc. That's theory thing, knowing them helps but can't really make you take good shot
2. Appreciate photoes from magazines. Usually, those photoes will have 1-2 lines comment from editors/judge if from competition. You can try to digest why they think so and match with you. Of course, different people have different standard on beauty for sure, at least, you should understand what "photographers" think. Critizing is a good step, like messy composition, not good enough light source, over/under exposed, the main object is not outstanding enough, etc
3. Practise more and review your pic.
With doing 2 and 3, you will gradually develop your own style. XD
I took a really basic photo class but that sucks
Taught by old (but experienced men), their standard of beauty are all outdated.
This difference is huge on taking portraits ( girls pics ). Their portraits poses are....oh well
very leung
