As you realized footwork is important for most ball games, special-made sport shoes for diff kind of ball games has it's advantage and special function on the particular court.
I know. But they are for pro players. For us, is that equipment difference rather than the racket that important/crucial? Probably you are much pro in bad.

For me, I tried both
The only disadvantage I can feel is the acceleration and deceleration time for rapid movement, also, better balance recovery for TT shoes

But but but, it's only for rapid movement, that's in a real game only. Normal practice and casual TT game doesn't differ that much to be honest


Piggie, how heavy are you?
Imagine you are like 30 or 50 pounds more heavier ( i am 190...probably if you are fit, i may even be 60 pounds heavier than you)
I am sure you can't take your badminton shoes for bad game for long time...
Knee and foot palm , really hurt

if u dun care abt injury, u can wear white rice fish to play:smile_o01:

I prefer shock absorption to performance
And it's for performance only...doesn't help in technique

I understand your main concern is the shock absorption, I suggest you wear a pair of basketball shoes to play  TT rather than a pair of running shoes coz it provide a more protection to your ankle.
