More and more people in China will seek for full demoracy and it's definitely a disaster to current China

Usually being manipulated and utilized by politicans

you are probably right.

There's too much at stake for China. Especially now when there's so much foreign money involved and China is trying to catch up to the western standards. There is absolutely no way the government will allow any instability to creep into the current system and cause hinderance in progress.

The 1 country 2 systems thing for taiwan has already been talked about a long time ago, no? But i think it will be status quo for the foreseeable future because other countries will not take any aggression lightly and potentially cause a slow down or even a break down in China's economy.

Quite a lot of people don't have international view as the old ones didn't receive good education and got their ass busy with money earning.

For the new generations with better education, especially those study overseas, have a better view on it

the snowball will start from HK and roll its way into the rest of China

Yeah, 1 country 2 systems had been being discussed for a long time

HK is the sample for Taiwan
If it fails in HK, Taiwan won't believe in China
If it works out pretty well in HK with democracy , Taiwan may consider that LOL

But as time goes, Taiwanese's sense of belonging of being Chinese will fade out
That's another problem

HK are the evil guys, initially XD

Let say, HK got a great success in democracy
Then Macau may want to follow
Then SZ may want to follow
Then SH may want to follow
Blah blah blah....

If the current leaders are consistent in their foreign policy (i.e 釣魚臺), they will take a conservative stance.
China will not let HK fail. Should HK fail, then Taiwan will have all reasons stay clear from China.
It will take a catastrophe to unite mainland and Taiwan. It is in human nature to unite at the brink.
