Undergraduate in US is expensive...unless you got full scholarship.
And those HK provided...is to Princeton as far as I recall. Even my UCLA friend(9A) and Stanford(10A) has to pay the tuition themselves. Only the 10A girl in Caltech takes scholarship but from the school itself even she is not citizen.
