that's actually quite typical of post-modern literature... the "Schizophrenic style" (i think... that's how they call it... )
my favorite author is Haruki Murakami.... (I read his work in English, though they are in all languages)... the way he writes.. he paste together the most detail of normal life bits and pieces into a story that doesn't necessarily have a plot.
I really find peace when I read his work because of the way he can describe things.
