Yeah, i agree in low level, defensive is easier to "win"
For fun, smashing has more fun

Same in table tennis, I win almost everyone in my school with defensive play
Once I switch to looping mode ( offensive ), my winning rate is like 70% only.
But, winning with offensive move is so good. The feeling is...wow, better than having sxx with girls.

If one wants to improve, start at defensive play and still have a positive and willingly view on offend when the time comes LOL
