good luck, i applied 1 year and 1 month ago.  some people who lost it before said it  takes 2.5 years, even though they said 9 months.f--king canadian government... so slow.

hmm. now thinking about it. how would you enter back into the land of maple with an expired passport? could u do that? if you show custom your hk passport, they'll be like "how long are u staying" and then i'll tell them i'm actually a citizen, but my cdn passport expired? i dont think the officials here are clever enough to resolve these situations.... i think i'll end up getting tasered by the airport swat team.
