I don't think a "perfect" partner is a perfect human being...  a perfect partner should be the one who makes up for what you lack... if you are not good at socializing, she should be good at communicating and opening you up... if you are stubborn... he/she should be patience... that sort of thing.  

i think the quote is... something like...

"each person is born without wings, only the perfect soulmate can make you fly" 

All those money/handsome/nice built/ etc... will only be a nice add on.  If a person look for a partner based on such shallow attributes, the relationship won't last very long anyways. :p

Love is something you look for at 15, or 20, when it comes to looking for a life-partner, you look for someone who match your values, world-views, lifestyle, personalities and hobbies.  

And I don't believe you won't fall in love with the person if he's such a perfect-match to you.

don't give up hope? Especially if you're young.

When you get older, you may have to compromise more, and tolerate a few things (and your partner will have to do the same)... but this equation depends on time, as long as you are young, you should not give up hope and stop searching.  

(I am such a romanticist.. I think I should go write those teenage romance novels. haha)
